- **Duration**: 4–5 hours
- **Difficulty**: Moderate
- Drive to Gulaba (30 min from Manali) and hike toward the lake trail
- Turn around at the first meadow for a comfortable day outing
- Wildflowers carpet the meadows from June to August
## Planning Tips
- Start early (6–7 AM) to avoid afternoon clouds and ensure safe return before dark
- Carry at least 2 litres of water per person — streams are seasonal and unreliable
- Inform your hotel about your hiking plan and expected return time
- Wear proper trekking shoes even on easy trails — the terrain is rocky and uneven
- Hire a local guide (₹500–1,000/day) if you are unfamiliar with the area
